Peter Tuinstra

Peter Tuinstra, 82, of Byron, passed away January 24, 2025 at St. Mary's hospital surrounded by family. Peter was born May 30, 1942 in Illinois to Jacob and Susan (Regnerus) Tuinstra. He grew up in Lansing, IL with his siblings, Grace, Jim, Ray, Ron, Linda, Mary and Lisa. He was united in marriage to Nancy Lou Van Beek on June 26, 1965. He enjoyed his work as a mechanical engineer at IBM until retirement. He was an avid outdoorsman, gun collector, and active volunteer for many organizations (blood donation, local churches and The Exchange Co-op to name a few).

Peter is survived by his 3 children, Paul Tuinstra of Rochester, Brad Senstra of Seattle, WA and Vicki Tupa of Sykesville, MD; 7 grandchildren, Meggan Tuinstra (Paul Tuinstra) Jay, Leo and Max (Brad Senstra) and James, Ben and Zach Tupa (Vicki Tupa).

The memorial service for Peter will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the Kasson Community Celebration Church (27337 County Hwy 34, Kasson, Mn 55944). Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
